Two Tracks, One Goal
Carbon Arc Media partners with active, established sales agents who maintain direct relationships with buyers at major studios, streaming platforms, and international distributors. We operate on two parallel tracks:
Film Library Sales
If you own a catalog of completed films and you're looking to sell — whether it's a slate of titles, a full library, or select rights packages — we connect you with sales agents who have the buyer relationships to move your catalog.
- Full library acquisitions
- Partial catalog sales (select titles or territories)
- Rights packages (streaming, international, TV)
- Library valuation guidance through our sales partners
New Film Representation
If you have a film in production or post-production that needs a sales agent, we introduce you to agents who are actively looking for new product to take to market — at AFM, Cannes, Berlin, MIPCOM, and through direct buyer relationships year-round.
- Films in production or post-production
- Completed films seeking distribution
- Pre-sales packaging support
- Market strategy through experienced agents
Why Work Through Carbon Arc
The film sales landscape is relationship-driven. Cold-submitting your film to buyers rarely works. Sales agents with established buyer relationships and market presence are the standard path to distribution — but finding the right agent and getting a meeting is its own challenge.
Carbon Arc Media has built working relationships with active sales agents who are looking for product. We understand the delivery and documentation side (that's our core business), so when we connect you with a sales agent, we can also ensure your film or catalog is delivery-ready — which makes your project more attractive to both agents and buyers.
This is not a finder's fee arrangement. We facilitate introductions because a well-delivered film that's properly documented and packaged is good for everyone in the chain — the producer, the sales agent, and the distributor.
Chain of Title & Rights Availability
For library acquisitions in particular, clean chain of title and clear rights availability are non-negotiable. If your catalog has unresolved rights issues — expired options, missing music clearances, broken chains, encumbered territories — that needs to be addressed before a sales agent can take it to market.
This is where our core competency directly supports the acquisitions process. We can audit your documentation, identify gaps, and coordinate remediation before introductions are made. A library with clean paperwork sells. A library with questions doesn't.
What We Look For
Film Libraries
- Clear chain of title — documented ownership from source material through current rights holder, with no gaps or disputes
- Available rights — domestic, international, streaming, or specific territory rights that are unencumbered and ready to sell
- Existing masters — deliverable-quality masters (ProRes, DCP, IMF) or the ability to create them
- Documentation — E&O insurance (current or obtainable), music clearances, guild documentation, copyright registration
- Catalog depth — individual titles considered, but libraries of 5+ titles are prioritized by sales agents
New Productions
- Completed or in active production — not development-stage projects
- Cast and genre clarity — sales agents need marketable elements to pitch to buyers
- Budget and production value — appropriate production value for the target market
- Rights availability — the producer controls distribution rights or has clear authority to engage a sales agent
- Delivery timeline — a realistic timeline to delivery-ready status
